Welcome to the new Agriculture subgroup page! 

The conversation about food, nutrition and health seems to just keep getting bigger. No matter the setting we work in, people want to know more about their food – not just the nutrients in it, but how and where it was grown and raised.

When it comes to growing and raising food in the United States, much like nutrition, the topic of agriculture is complex and part of a larger system.  FCP is pleased to have added the Agriculture subgroup in 2014, equipping you with resources and information to have a conversation about food truly from farm to fork.

We are pleased to share virtual farm tours and tours from commodity and checkoff programs to our website in addition to the comprehensive list of resources on our website, too.

Provide resources that assist FCP members in answering questions on agriculture and where food comes from by:
• Sharing the perspective of the farmer.
• Helping tell the story of food from ground to table.
• Educating about farm scale (focusing on practice not size of farm).
• Providing evidence- and science-based agricultural resources.
